January 29 and 30
- Film: Definition, Stages of Development, Film Theory
February 2
- Blog: “What is your favorite movie? Why?”
February 5, 6, 12, and 13
- Presentations on Film Genres (Quiz)
- Submit the soft or hard copy of your presentation on or before February 13. All those not in by then will receive the necessary deductions.
- Long Test Questions (Quiz): Email to me 5 True-or-False Questions and 5 Multiple-Choice Questions based on your Film Genre Presentation. I will get questions from them for your Long Test. For review, upload all questions on your batch egroups since I will be getting questions from all sections. (There should be no problem with the difference in presentations of groups from different classes because main information regarding the genres will always hold.) These 10 questions will also be graded as a Quiz based on the quality of the questions submitted. All questions should be emailed to macmacmacasaet@yahoo.com on or before February 12 as a Word Document Attachment.
February 16
- Blog: “What is your most waste-of-time movie? Why?”
February 19
- Elements to be included in the Movie Review (c/o Ms. Estagle)
February 20
- Long Test on Film Genres
February 26
- Movie Review Due Today (Long Test), Film Showing (In Pursuit of Happyness)
February 27
- Continuation of Film Showing (In Pursuit of Happyness)
Your 70% Class Standing will be based on the 2 Blog Entries, 2 Quizzes, and 2 Long Tests.
Your Fourth Quarter Examinations will cover the Introduction to Film, Film Genres, Film Review and Film Showing. Only those who get 92% and above in the Class Standing will be exempted from the Quarter Examinations.
